EVALU8 was founded by Jonathan Baker, D.Phil, CVE, ICVE, IPEC with a mission to provide thoughtful, individualized vocational evaluation services to individuals across South Florida. Dr. Baker began his career in Vocational Rehabilitation in 2015, working in the public sector before establishing EVALU8 in 2017. Since then, he has helped countless individuals identify their strengths, navigate career transitions, and pursue meaningful employment or educational goals with confidence.

Dr. Baker brings a unique blend of formal education and lived experience to his work. With advanced academic training in psychology, philosophy, and vocational evaluation, he has also authored books on topics including religion, vocational evaluation, and autism spectrum disorder. As someone who identifies as neurodivergent and was diagnosed with autism as an adult, Dr. Baker understands the complexities of human potential and the importance of being seen as a whole person—not just a diagnosis.

He is a Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE) through the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), an International Certified Vocational Evaluator (ICVE) through the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP), and holds an International Psychometric Evaluation Certification (IPEC) from the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE). He previously held certification as a Professional Vocational Evaluator (PVE) through the Registry of Professional Vocational Evaluators (RPVE) and has served on peer review committees for both ABVE and CVRP, helping evaluate applicants for professional certification.

Dr. Baker is known for his strong work ethic, holistic approach, and personable, grounded demeanor. He understands that people may feel nervous or uncertain going into an evaluation, and he takes care to create an environment that feels respectful, collaborative, and relaxed. He takes pride in producing clear, data-driven reports that reflect a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s circumstances, always aiming to deliver the best possible outcome while remaining objective and professionally sound.
