Vocational Evaluations
-
A vocational evaluation is a comprehensive, individualized assessment process designed to provide objective insight into a person’s career potential. This service begins with a personal interview and detailed review of the individual’s background, including education, work history, medical or psychological factors, and any other relevant life circumstances. From there, the evaluation incorporates a variety of standardized assessments to measure academic achievement, vocational interests, aptitudes, work-related behaviors, and learning styles.
Unlike a diagnostic process, a vocational evaluation is prognostic in nature—it is not intended to diagnose but to predict career suitability and earning potential based on the person’s abilities, preferences, and functional capabilities. The final report provides clear, data-supported recommendations for employment, training, or educational pathways that align with the individual's strengths and long-term goals.
Who can benefit from a vocational evaluation?
High school seniors preparing to transition into college or the workforce
Working adults facing career changes due to injury, disability, or changing interests
Individuals undergoing midlife career transitions
Veterans transitioning from military service to civilian employment
Parties involved in divorce cases to help determine earning capacity for alimony or child support considerations
Vocational evaluations offer clarity and direction for people at any stage of life who are ready to explore what’s next in their career journey.
Educational & Learning Support Evaluations
-
An Educational & Learning Support Evaluation is designed to provide a clear understanding of a student’s current academic abilities, learning profile, and functional strengths and challenges. This evaluation focuses on identifying areas that may be impacting the student’s educational performance and helps determine whether accommodations, interventions, or additional support services may be beneficial. It includes a thorough review of the student’s educational background along with standardized academic achievement testing in key areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics.
This is not a psychological or diagnostic assessment and does not determine eligibility for special education services. Instead, the purpose is to support educational planning and guide families, teachers, and support professionals in making informed decisions to improve learning outcomes and access to instruction. The final report includes practical, data-driven recommendations to enhance the student’s academic success in the classroom.
Who can benefit from an Educational & Learning Support Evaluation?
EVALU8’s Educational & Learning Support Evaluations are especially helpful for students between the ages of 10 and 14, typically in fifth through eighth grades, who are showing signs of academic difficulty or underperformance in school. These evaluations can be used as a “check-up” for students who already have an IEP or 504 Plan, or as a starting point for those who may need to pursue school-based supports but have never been formally evaluated. Whether identifying learning needs or confirming existing support strategies, this evaluation provides valuable insight for building an effective educational plan.
Job Analysis
-
A Job Analysis is an on-site, systematic evaluation conducted to understand the specific duties, responsibilities, required skills, physical demands, and environmental conditions associated with a particular job role. At EVALU8, this process involves a vocational evaluator visiting the individual’s actual workplace to observe and document how the job is performed. The purpose is to develop a detailed, objective profile of the position and determine how well it aligns with the individual’s current abilities or vocational goals.
During the job analysis, we gather information through direct observation, interviews with the employee and/or supervisor, task analysis, and environmental assessment. The results are used to create comprehensive job descriptions and performance expectations, and when needed, to evaluate whether a person can safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the job. This information is also valuable in identifying any reasonable accommodations that may support continued employment.
Job analyses can be useful in a variety of contexts, including return-to-work evaluations, career planning, disability accommodations, and vocational rehabilitation planning. Whether the goal is to better understand a job’s demands or determine job-person fit, our job analysis service ensures that decisions are grounded in accurate, work-based data.
Who can benefit from a Job Analysis?
Individuals currently working who may need to confirm their ability to meet job demands
Employers or professionals seeking to assess job roles for accommodation or restructuring
HR teams developing or refining job descriptions and performance standards
Vocational evaluators and counselors creating employment plans or return-to-work strategies
Attorneys and third parties needing documentation for legal or vocational determinations
A well-conducted job analysis helps clarify what a job truly requires—ensuring that evaluations, accommodations, and planning efforts are based on real-world job expectations.
